If Windows is already installed
- Open Settings > System > Activation
- Select Change product key

Windows 11 Home: frequently asked questions
Is this a genuine Microsoft licence?
Yes. Atom Software is a trusted seller since 2020. Your key activates directly through Microsoft, exactly as a key bought from Microsoft would, and the resulting installation receives updates normally.
Is Windows 11 Home a subscription?
No. This is a one-time purchase. You pay once and the licence does not expire or renew. Microsoft 365 is the subscription product and is separate from the Windows operating system.
How many PCs can I use this licence on?

What is the difference between Windows 11 Home and Pro?
Windows 11 Pro adds full BitLocker drive encryption management, Hyper-V virtual machines, Windows Sandbox, Remote Desktop hosting, Group Policy Editor, work domain and Entra ID join, and support for up to 2 TB of RAM against Home’s 128 GB. Everything else, including gaming performance and Copilot, is identical.
Can I upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11 Home?
Yes, provided your PC meets the Windows 11 requirements, chiefly TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot. The upgrade keeps your files and installed programs. Microsoft ended security updates for Windows 10 in October 2025, so upgrading is worth doing.
Will my files be deleted when I install Windows 11?
Not if you upgrade an existing Windows installation, since your files and apps carry over. A clean install from USB does erase the drive, so back up first. If you are unsure which route you need, call us before starting.
Can I upgrade from Home to Pro later?
Yes. The upgrade happens in place, without reinstalling Windows or reformatting your drive. Buy a Windows 11 Pro key, enter it in Settings, and Windows switches edition while keeping your files and programs.
Does Windows 11 Home include Microsoft Office?
No. Windows is the operating system; Office is separate software. We sell Microsoft Office as a one-time purchase too, and you can add it to the same order.
How quickly will I receive my key?
